What: A tropical wear contest will be held at the Wyndham Championship with the winner receiving a Wyndham vacation and participants receiving special deals and giveaways.
Promotion: A pre-tournament campaign will encourage people to attend the Wyndham Championship on Saturday dressed in their best tropical outfit. Hosts from Rock 92 and Wyndham executives will vote on the best outfit throughout the day. Grounds tickets to the Wyndham Championship and access to the Wyndham Beach Viewing Platform will be given away during the pre-tournament campaign.
Rules: Clear judging criteria will be included in all promotions to provide direction on what is appropriate and deter distasteful entries. Tropical wear such as beach hats, sandals, Hawaiian shirts, shorts, skirts, sarongs, cover-ups, etc. are examples of appropriate attire. Thong bikinis and clothing that is not family friendly will not be entered to win.
Nomination & voting: We’ll be capturing photos of participants around course and alerting them to join us at the Wyndham Boardwalk stage on course at X time on Saturday for their outfit to be judged. 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winners will be awarded on site. Must be present to win. Winner must be 18 years of age or older.
Prizes: First place will receive a 7-night Wyndham vacation compliments of Resort Condominiums International and be offered the opportunity to be featured in a photo shoot for the 2013 marketing campaign. Second place will receive a 4-day, 3-night Wyndham Vacation compliments of Wyndham Vacation Ownership, and third place will receive a 2-night stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort compliments of Wyndham Hotel Group. Access to the beach viewing platform will randomly be handed out to people that are dressed up. Every person that enters the contest will instantly receive a small prize like 10% off at the pro shop or a free drink. (MB – what can this be?)
