The Hero run is meant to honor everyday heroes within the community during a fun and safe family friendly event. Participants of the run are encouraged to dress up as someone they consider a hero! Stay after the run to shop local artisans and craft vendors, have your face painted, play in the inflatables, enjoy delicious food - and much more!

The Pray for Sae 7-on-7 is a fundraiser event to raise money for Savion Littlejohn, a junior at Reagan High School, in his fight against Lymphoma.

The Pray For Sae 7-on-7 will be a 2-hand tag football tournament featuring some of the top athletes from the Triad in both the high school and collegiate levels. Admission into the event will be $5; children 10 and under get in free. All money raised and donated on this day will be given to Savion Littlejohn. There will be two different brackets, a high school bracket and a college bracket. These two brackets will NOT play each other. The bracket format is 8 teams (10 players per team), single elimination. The event will be May 30 with games beginning at 10am at Reagan High School in Pfafftown, NC. Finals will be streamed nationwide on to give the players a chance to shine in the spotlight like they never have before.
This tournament will also give local businesses the chance sponsor the event and help grow their business in a fun and exciting way, all while giving back!
Registration for the tournament is still open. Download the registration form at Space is limited.

WeddStock Sip for the Hip

In the spring of 2015, our friend and pillar of the Greensboro community, Mr. Mark Weddle, was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease in his hip, rendering him unable to work, socialize, or even move. On May 15th, Mark underwent major surgery to rectify this issue. On July 3rd, Josephine's General Manager, Ryan Holden, will be going under the knife to correct a knee injury from the winter. Josephine's Kitchen, the Lindley Park Filling Station, and the Tap Room are joining forces to ensure that they are shown the love that Greensboro has for them, as well as ease their burdens during the period following surgery, when they will be unable to earn a living doing what they love: serving drinks and food to their friends.

Which means, of course, we're having a party!

Come and join us as we celebrate our incredible friend,
bartender, and brother to us all, on Sunday, May 31st,
from 3pm to 6pm at the Blind Tiger.
1819 Spring Garden Street, Greensboro NC

Your Suggested Donation of $20 will include food, provided by Josephine's Kitchen and the Lindley Park Filling Station, as well as a ticket for one of two signature "WeddHead" cocktails at the bar! (Don't worry, both are available for purchase, in case one isn't enough)

There will also be a silent auction, to bid on items provided by local businesses, as well as a one-of-a-kind "WeddStock" t-shirt available for purchase (while supplies last) and order.

Proceeds go towards mitigating mounting medical expenses, helping Mark "Moustache" Weddle and Ryan “Baldbeard” Holden recover, recuperate, and return to their restaurant.

If you are unable to attend the event, but wish to donate to The Cause, please send donations to:
Mark Weddle or Ryan Holden

NGHS Senior Gift Stop Hunger Now

Stop Hunger Now is an organization that is devoted to stopping hunger throughout the world. For every $3,000.00 that we raise, we can pack 10,000 nutritious meals that will be donated to hungry people here in the United States and throughout the world. We have already raised $3,000.00 but we would like to raise enough money to sponsor an additional 10,000 meals. In May, students at Northern Guilford High School will be packaging meals and packing them for shipment. We hope that you can help us make our goal come true. If you have any questions, please contact our teacher Robin Farber at 336 543 4015 or at . You may donate to our event by sending a check made out to NGHS, Stop Hunger Now, Northern Guilford High School, 7101 Spencer Dixon Road, Greensboro, NC 27455. We have made a YouTube video that expresses our goals and aspirations for this project. Thank You! Northern Guilford High School Senior Class
