Guilford County Schools (GCS) has a large number of students who live at or below poverty level. 48.5% of GCS students qualify for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program.
When parents can’t afford school supplies for their children, teachers often make up the difference. According to a national study, teachers spend $500-$800 per year of their own money to supply their classrooms.
You now have an opportunity to help teachers get supplies into the hands of the students that need them most!
Introducing the Teacher Supply Warehouse for Guilford County Schools!
Changing a logo? Have leftover specialty items from an event? Have discontinued product samples? Don’t know what to do with them? Donate them to the Teacher Supply Warehouse! Here’s how it works:
Call GCS at 370-8355 or email adamsc4@gcsnc.com with a list of items you have to donate. All donated items are available to GCS teachers free of charge. The only payment we ask is a thank-you letter to one of our donors. It’s that simple! But it won’t succeed without your help!
