My in-law's home desperately needs a deck of some sort. They currently have a raised patio on the side of the house, but there's no door in the house that opens up to the deck. Instead, there is an awkward step from the kitchen to the patio, which is definitely a hazard when they have barbeques and we are walking between the kitchen and the grill. The step down from the kitchen is a dilapidated concrete step that is nowhere near level. The sliding glass door on the far left opens to the master bedroom. As you can see, there is currently just a two foot drop from the door to the ground. My in-laws need to have a deck that gives them a safe way to exit the kitchen and their master bedroom and connects to the current patio (the patio gets a TON of use during the summer).
My mother-in-law loves spending time outdoors and relaxing on the patio, so I would love to see her get a new deck to make it an even more enjoyable place for her to spend time. She is a wonderful person, and I love her like my own mother. She has recently been battling lymphoma (she had been in remission for several years, but had to restart treatment two months ago). My mother-in-law and father-in-law are amazing people, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of a new deck. They would just be thrilled out of their minds. Please choose this house!!
